Transportation of Dead Body to Pakistan

The following conditions and procedures are applicable to the transportation of dead body of the Pakistani nationals to Pakistan:

1. Information regarding death of the Pakistani community member should be immediately reported to the Pakistan High Commission, Canberra and Consulate General of Pakistan within their jurisdiction, as per following jurisdiction:
   • Consulate General of Pakistan Sydney: New South Wales
   • Consulate General of Pakistan Melbourne: Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia
2. The following documents are required for issuance of “No Objection Certificate” for transportation of the dead body:
   • Original passport of the deceased person
   • CNIC or NICOP of the deceased person
   • Death Certificate of the deceased person
   • Embalming certificate issued by the funeral house
   • Certificate of non-communicable diseases
   • A cover letter from the Director of the funeral house conveying the issuance of the above-mentioned documents.
