Attestation of Power of Attorney

The following conditions are applicable to the attestation of Power of Attorney:

  1. The physical presence of the applicant at the Consulate is mandatory.
  2. The Applicant must sign the document in front of the consular staff/officer.
  3. The Power of Attorney/ Affidavit/Authority Letter is to be prepared by the applicant. This is accepted on either stamp paper from Pakistan or can be prepared on a plain paper. The Consulate does not provide this service.
  4. The documents required are:
    • Application Form for PoA / Attestation must be duly filled in and signed including statutory declaration. Please fill out form in block or capital letters.
    • Original Power of Attorney / Affidavit required to be attested
    • Applicant’s original Passport / NICOP / CNIC / POC and its copy.
    • Two Witnesses and copies of their CNIC/NICOP/Pakistani passport.
    • Two passport size photographs of the Executant/Applicant.
  5. Usually, the PoA attestations are done the same day, if all the requirements are fulfilled.
  6. Processing Fee:
    • Processing fee is AUD 20.00. In case a Power of Attorney is to be executed by more than one person, the fee is charged per executant/applicant
    • Fee may be paid through Postal Money Order in favour of “Consulate General of Pakistan Sydney” or EftPOS (bank charges apply) – all credit / debit cards, except American Express, are accepted.
    • No cash payment is accepted, and all payments are non-refundable.
